Toulouse Week in Zaragoza

On the 5th of July a press conference was held for Toulouse Week in Zaragoza, an event that took place thanks to a cooperation agreement signed between the City Halls of Zaragoza and Toulouse and was continuing on from the Zaragoza Week held in Toulouse in September 2009.

Zaragoza City Hall’s Councillor for Development and Tourism, Elena Allué, highlighted that the two cities share many things in common, apart from being of a similar size with a river running through both, they also have a past “full of history” as both were founded by the Romans and both have a “great future” as emerging cities vying for a privileged position in Southern Europe.

During the week and until the 11th of July 2010, a series of events were organised that included cultural activities, dances, street entertainment and sports friendlies. The full programme of activities can be seen on the Zaragoza Global website.
