PROMOCIÓN EXTERIOR DE ZARAGOZA S.A. (hereafter known as ZARAGOZA GLOBAL) is a limited company. Its partners are the Zaragoza City Hall, the Zaragoza Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Corporación Empresarial Pública de Aragón, S.L.U., a public company belonging to the Autonomous Community of Aragón, which has been created under the protection of current administrative and commercial law.

In compliance with civil statutes, ZARAGOZA GLOBAL has been created to improve Zaragoza’s image abroad and carry out activities designed to develop and promote the city within the framework of new international relations.

 ZARAGOZA GLOBAL belongs to the public sector and is an awarding body, unlike public administrations, as set out in Articles 3.1.d and 3.3 b of Law number 30/2007 (30th October, Public Sector Contracts).

The company can award contracts subject to harmonized legislation, as set out in Article 13 of the Law of Public Sector Contracts. Articles 121.1 and 174 of the Law of Public Sector Contracts are fully applicable to these contracts. ZARAGOZA GLOBAL can award other contracts, in which case the procedures the company must follow in order to select a bidder and award contracts that are not subject to harmonized legislation, have been established.
